If you live for people's acceptance, you will die from their rejection...Ever noticed that 'they' only love you once you've 'made it'? The sad part is, it makes it THAT much harder to build your brand/business. Unfortunately, a lot of people underestimate the impact that a little support has on a budding venture; even your "friends". I've learned first-hand that strangers support you wayyy more than your
fake "friends" do. If this hits home for you, I'm here to tell you, it's not you, it's them.
When you’re doing innovative things or living a life that most people don’t have the courage to pursue, there will always be people who don’t approve of you. People tend to act this way because they want the life you have, but they know they’re not putting in the work to get it. Yet, when you do 'make it', they all reappear like leaves in the springtime 😒.
The road to achieving BIG dreams is very lonely - get used to it; embrace it. To be successful, YOU have to be there for yourself relentlessly. So be encouraged, and know that you're all you need, to get by!
"You can inspire the world or you can be liked by everyone — you don’t get to do both" - Robin Sharma
On another note, graphic tees have been trending for the past few years, but there's never much talk about graphic crewnecks. In my humble opinion, crewnecks are great for those chilly off-duty days when you want to look put-together without much work. I figured my favourite Crime By Design crewneck was appropriate given today's topic 🤣; so I made it the focal point. I was heading to dinner and a movie, and really couldn't be bothered to pick something out. Of course, I opted for my Zara leather Jacket and Nasty Gal Vegan Leather hat (bad hair day) for light layering. Although the weather was a bit warmer, I really wanted to get a couple more wears out of these Steve Madden boots before spring rolls around lol. It did end up cooling down later in the evening, so it worked out perfectly 👌🏾
